There are lots of little hidden treasures all around you on this island of a whole 121 square miles. Are you interested in swimming in the ocean but are afraid by the waves, then check out the area of Ko' Olina Beach, this area has approximately 6 coves in which, you can swim and not feel the rough waters that can be found around the islands north shores. This area is a safe place to take little ones if you want them to have the experience of the beach. The coves have rock formations that create huge pulls of water that go up to about 12-15 feet deep, gates have been stretched between the rock formations to keep out the large ocean critters, thus helping to maintain a safe human interaction with the water. Children will be able to still see lots of little fish in this area with a pair of goggles.
