One beach in the beautiful state of Hawaii is on the North Shore of Oahu, it is the home of the Pipeline. The roaring waves rushing by, surfers standing tall and strong on their boards while judges sit beach side seeing who has the perfect style to rip the waves. Directly behind the beautiful Pipeline beach you will find beautiful gardens that are hidden in Waimea Valley. This huge area is a beautiful place to spend the day, walking among the wonderful plants and trees that you will find all around you. Take a walk up to the top of the valley where you will find a restful place that many have held weddings in, with a beautiful water area that you can dip your feet in to cool off, the smells of all the wonderful flowers all around you, the stress will melt away from your body visiting this lovely area.
With today's economy being the way it is and you can't afford to hop all over the islands, simply spending your vacation on Oahu is great. There are lots of little hidden treasures all around you on this island of a whole 121 square miles. Are you interested in swimming in the ocean but are afraid by the waves, then check out the area of Ko' Olina Beach, this area has approximately 6 coves in which, you can swim and not feel the rough waters that can be found around the islands north shores. This area is a safe place to take little ones if you want them to have the experience of the beach. The coves have rock formations that create huge pulls of water that go up to about 12-15 feet deep, gates have been stretched between the rock formations to keep out the large ocean critters, thus helping to maintain a safe human interaction with the water. Children will be able to still see lots of little fish in this area with a pair of goggles.
The state of Hawaii hosts many great events, for example at the end of each National football season a huge game goes on at the Pro-bowl. During the off season, the space around the center is used to house one of the largest flea markets around, you can find lots of great finds in this area.
Wondering how pineapples are grown, Hawaii has tons of plantations that are home to millions of pineapples. Up around the northern part of the island of Oahu, you will find the "Dole" plantation, here you can learn about different varieties of pineapple, how long it takes to grow an actual pineapple and what it takes to run a plantation. The state of Hawaii is a fascinating place to visit. If you have the time, it is highly recommended to visit as much of the islands as you can. You will want to visit again and see what other little haunts you can find.
