Surprisingly, the most visited state in the USA is Florida - not only is it the sunshine state, it is also home to Disney World in Orlando.

Las Vegas is the gambling and casino capital of the United States with immense buildings, a-list celebrities and plaster imitations of famous buildings from around the world.

Washington D.C. is the nation’s capital and the center of political power. DC is home to the most photographed American sight, the White House.

San Francisco is famous for the Golden Gate Bridge, a laid-back and open culture and easily accessible nature recreation. Watch whales from the dusty sand dunes or tour the famous prison island Alcatraz.

The Grand Canyon is one of the most breathtaking natural sights in America. Over 450 km in length and 1.2 km in depth, the canyon sprawls over the Colorado Plateau in Arizona. If you can handle it, hike through the canyon all the way to the Colorado River.

Another amazing view is atop New York City’s Empire State Building. It was built in 1931 and is 443 meters high.

A stroll along the Walk of Fame (where celebrities make handprints in the concrete) in Los Angeles is a fun sight. Since 1958, more than 2,300 stars have left their hand or footprints along Hollywood Boulevard.
